Combined Authorities as the base for supporting school improvement

Pilot 3

Towards a new model of accountability

What are we asking of pilot areas?

Areas selected for the pilots are being asked to identify a nominated lead for the pilot who will be the day-to-day contact for the Educating for the Future team.

Participants are requested to:

  • Demonstrate existing support from schools, academy trusts, the local authority, and other agenciesTwo people putting notes on a whiteboard
  • Support the implementation of pilots through bringing school leaders and other local partners on a regular basis
  • Identify and collect data, and other information, to illustrate the progress the pilots are making
  • Assist the Nottingham University external evaluation team.

Our team aims to engage with participants on a monthly basis, and bring all local areas involved together on a six-monthly basis to reflect on progress across local areas. We will also ask local areas to participate in the external evaluation of the pilots at regular points during the two years.
